24 Ranger - 2.7 engine exhaust/muffler question

Dumb question here: has anybody tried removing one of the mufflers. and replacing with a piece of pipe.

OR, removing one of the mufflers and replacing with another (Maganaflow) muffler?

Looking for a nice sounding truck without drone or raspy, and not spending lotsa $$$$.

My advice is to spend the coin and get the full Borla dual exhaust. Mine is finally breaking in and the sound is amazing. I lost count of how many F150's have pulled up next to me with their thumbs up......some Rangers too.

Very nice High Country Special brother. The late Bob Teets (who was the High Country Special registrar) was a close friend of mine. He is missed in so many ways, but is looking down upon your beautiful car as I type.

Ya, Bob Teets was a special guy. We first met him on 2000 at the Steamboat Mustang show. He gave us quite an education about making our HCS look good.

The Borla is lotsa $$$, and at first glance a little to loud for me. Maybe I better leave the OEM exhaust alone.

My wife and I were just talking about our exhaust. I'll never put the OEM back on. Maybe you'd like to buy it, do what you will with it, and keep yours as the original. As much as I like to modify, it's always comforting to know if I screw it up and don't like it, I can always go back to the start.

I assume going with Borla would not cause any warranty issues since its just a catback . I worry less about that issue with the ford system even know its made by Borla
