24 Ranger FX4 with Tow pkg - select trailer when there is no trailer

Hello,
Recently, after over 8k miles the active trailer screen pops up asking to select a trailer. I have my Travel trailer setup in the system but it’s not connected. This has happened a few times and once the transmission mode changed to “Tow” all by itself.

Any one else experience this? What did you do to address this issue?

I have found some patterns to when mine pops up. If I have the truck in accessory, then start it, it asks me what trailer is connected every time. It has to just be a software glitch of some sort. I have never had it switch to Tow mode by itself, but I do find my selector knob is difficult to turn and does stick.

Yep, software glitch is what I’m thinking. I’ve been looking to see if there’s been an upgrade pushed down but I can’t tell.

regarding knob, I haven’t had that problem.

I had that issue with my base 2024 ranger stx.
Hasn't done it in a while so maybe a software update fixed it?

Interesting. Mine issue just started. That why I thought there might have been a software update that caused it.

Mine has done it from day 1, so I don't think its a recent update or anything else. And as recently as last weekend it was still doing it. I asked the service manager about it, he had never heard of it before. I don't think they have sold many next gen rangers yet, so its a small sample pool to pull from.
