255/75R17 tires on stock wheels?

Has anyone tires running this tire size on stock rims? Or on any rims for that matter?

That's good to hear. It is hard to find winter tires in that size. The only two I can find are Firestone/Bridgestone in an LT rating, which im told will be overkill for the Ranger and detrimental to the ride when not hauling. I would ideally like to have both sets the same size. Unfortunately most manufacturers don't make winters in that size. The only thing that will likely fit over a factory size is the 265/70r17. Some tires in that size are too wide(Wildpeak At4). I'm considering sticking with factory size for winters and just larger summers.

We don't bother with winters. We run snow peak rated AT tires, like the bfg ko3, Falken Wildpeak, Nokian na Outpost etc, year round.

My 2.7L Lariat FX4 will be delivered by the end of September. I've already purchased Falken Wildpeak A/T4W 255/70/R18 tires and I don't anticipate any problems. I'll update once they are on...
