Ahh yes....."Section 177" states.Yes, very interesting. I know way back in the day you could have an issue bringing in a vehicle to California. I bought in Oregon and moved to California and didn’t have any issues.
There are several states besides California that have adopted all or some of the California standards.
I think the biggest change is that California codified the EPA green house emissions regulations and the EPA rolled them all back. So oddly California didn’t seem to have created them.
This will undoubtedly go back to the Supreme Court who originally ruled with the EPA that green house gases were covered under the clean air act.
It would be interesting to see what is different on vehicles that don’t have 50 state emissions.
You could have some short term or possibly long term issues if you move to another state.
