I read the same as well, wonder why they wouldn’t do it all? Cut costs or something?I believe the front fenders, hood and tailgate only.
The hood, tailgate and fenders on my Raptor are all steel not aluminium - either that or they have now invented magnetic aluminium...I believe the front fenders, hood and tailgate only.
I do not know about your Ranger but the North American Rangers from what I have read have aluminum parts. When we finally get them we can check. The hood, tailgate and fenders on my Raptor are all steel not aluminium - either that or they have now invented magnetic aluminium...
It's not impossible but I'd VERY surprised if there is any difference.I do not know about your Ranger but the North American Rangers from what I have read have aluminum parts. When we finally get them we can check.
We may both be partially correct. It's not impossible but I'd VERY surprised if there is any difference.
I'd like to know what your source is for that information as the ramifications could be profound for ROW owners who are looking to save some weight or who are hitting their GVM. Honestly, I'd be VERY surprised if there is any difference between ROW and NA panel materials but anything is possible I suppose.I can confirm that the body is steel, but as was said previously, the hood, front fenders, and tail gate are aluminum.
All the 5G Rangers sold here have aluminum hoods and tailgates. Aluminum fenders were on the '19 through sometime late in '21, but became steel later. Everything else was steel. My April built '21 Ranger still has aluminum fenders.Even the 5th gen in the U.S had aluminum front fenders/hood/tailgate according to the internet. Sounds like it may be an NA thing. Ever since they were brought back in 2019.
Maybe the raptors are different though? It was posted all over the 5g forms for the U.S.

When mine comes in the end of the month/next month I can do a test.
