Does anyone know if the Ranger has an aluminum body like the F150?

I believe the front fenders, hood and tailgate only.

Just a guess is they want to sell more F150's (ie: the cash cow)

Aluminum has a lot more costs, and the ranger doesn't sell enough to justify most likely.

Because it’s built on the same line as the bronco. As such it will use the same robots/weld guns/fixtures, etc…

The hood, tailgate and fenders on my Raptor are all steel not aluminium - either that or they have now invented magnetic aluminium...

I do not know about your Ranger but the North American Rangers from what I have read have aluminum parts. When we finally get them we can check.

It's not impossible but I'd VERY surprised if there is any difference.

We may both be partially correct.

Do the new Ford Rangers have aluminum bodies?

The hood, front fenders, and tail gate are aluminum-based

I can confirm that the body is steel, but as was said previously, the hood, front fenders, and tail gate are aluminum.

I'd like to know what your source is for that information as the ramifications could be profound for ROW owners who are looking to save some weight or who are hitting their GVM. Honestly, I'd be VERY surprised if there is any difference between ROW and NA panel materials but anything is possible I suppose.

Here is my Raptor with magnetic "L" plates firmly attached to each of those panels:

Even the 5th gen in the U.S had aluminum front fenders/hood/tailgate according to the internet. Sounds like it may be an NA thing. Ever since they were brought back in 2019.

Maybe the raptors are different though? It was posted all over the 5g forms for the U.S.

When mine comes in the end of the month/next month I can do a test.

All the 5G Rangers sold here have aluminum hoods and tailgates. Aluminum fenders were on the '19 through sometime late in '21, but became steel later. Everything else was steel. My April built '21 Ranger still has aluminum fenders.

I have no idea about the 6Gs that'll be built here.

I was curious why my hood and fenders evaporated during the fire. The aluminum (and ATF) is probably what made the fire so hot.
