Anyone else have a bumper gap? Dealer won't fix.

So there's been this gap in the driver-side bumper of my 2024 Lariat since new. Didn't notice it until a few days after I got it, and if I push it in, it immediately slowly slides back out. Forgot to mention it at the first oil change, so mentioned it this last time and the rep just kept telling me I would have to take it to a body shop. It's not even got 10k miles on it.

I know it's minor, and I wouldn't mind if it was used, but shouldn't this be covered under warranty of a new truck?
And I was curious if anyone else has this issue.

Coming from Subaru, then Nissan, I'm very underwhelmed with this Ford dealership so far. Hopefully the other local one will be better. They seem so inconvenienced when I come in for a scheduled oil change.

Curious if you ever got this fixed? I also have a 2024 and have the same gap between the bumper and fender on the driver's side. Haven't had time to dig into it myself yet but plan to at some point soon.

I unfortunately / lazily have not. But I'm due for an oil change soon, and I think I'm going to do it myself this time, so that may be the motivation I need to get it fixed and I'll update here.

Haha I get it. Sometimes those "minor" irritants are the ones that take the longest to get dealt with. Please do update if you tackle it.

If I don't deal with mine myself, I'll definitely have the dealership look at it when I'm in for service as my Ranger came with some remaining factory warranty, and this seems like something that should get fixed under that warranty.

My Mustang would sometimes have a similar gap between the rear bumper and fender on either side, but usually after driving over an uneven surface. I could pop it back in and it would be good until I drove over an uneven surface again. But this one on the Ranger does not simply pop back into place.

my 25 xlt that I got april 2025 has this on bith driver side(more prominent) and a small bit on the passenger side. I normally walk around the back when getting in, so my adhd brain, forgets about it, till the next time i walk around the front "fuck i gotta fix that" rinse and repeat forgetting. lol

Thanks bud, you just reminded me that mine has the same issue on BOTH sides. I had let it go for a few months but now I will be looking at it all over again.

Brief update to mine. The separation between the bumper and fender returned after few weeks. After talking to the dealer service department, we both agreed it may be better handled by an autobody shop. The dealer ordered a new bracket of some kind and a local autobody shop did the work yesterday. Fingers crossed it holds this time

I should also mention the dealer covered the cost for the part and autobody labor, as my truck is still under the factory warranty and they considered it a warranty item.

Exact same thing happening to mine! Been like that since brand new, though I wonder if my issue is just a tolerance stacking thing and not a bad clip. When I push the bumper back in, it's a very tight fit and it holds for a drive or two and then slowly pushes back out. Doesnt feel like a clip is loose or anything - just seems like the parts are a bit off and tight.

I'm honestly thinking of just putting the smallest dab of super glue on the lower exposed piece, pushing it back in, and then seeing if that holds it.
