Does anyone understand the logic controlling the auto park brake. I press the button to turn off the car and the shifter goes to park but the park brake only engages maybe 75% of the time. Is there some trigger like park angle or something

I have only had my truck for a couple months. The park brake has auto-set 3 times. Each time was when the truck rolled and kind of came to a jerking stop after I put the truck in park - what I assume is the transmission settling on the parking pawl.

I'm surprised they say you can daisy chain their module and the auto start/stop module and both work..I don't know enough about either modules but i'm skeptical.

I don't mind turning off the auto-start and ebrake. I feel like a pilot. I have some buttons to push before take off ;) Does not bother me at all as it's baked into my driving routine. My fusion got me in the habit of this as it was the plug-in hybrid model, so i was always switching between EV mode, off, and auto.
