Kept hearing a clunk when turning. Took it in and said my axles was leaking and needed a new axle. Warrantee covered it. Anyone else have this issue?

Was it a front axle cv joint that failed? Usually if the boot tears it slings grease everywhere and makes a stinky mess. Did you notice that?

Apparently its not common since no one else has posted. Maybe you got a monday/friday rear end in your truck?

IIRC, a few of people on 5G had leaking rear axle seals causing the whole axle needing replaced.
Apparently, Ford shops wouldn't just replace the seals, or there was too much damage internally.
Took several weeks to get a replacement. I hope that's not the case for you.

No only took like 5 days so not that bad. I think it happened as i was doing a sharp turn and accelerating. this is my first truck so some of the things im not sure if it a truck thing or the ranger just sucks lol. I guess my question is is it a common thing for CV axles/ boots to go like that?

I don't think CV axle (front) have inherent problems. Failures I have seen are usually caused by user error damage when installing a lift or level kit.
