I received notification of a successful over the air BCM update to resolve a potential wiring issue on my ‘24 Lariat. I think these over the air updates to resolve recalls are great but I hate that sometimes it resets settings. Why can’t they just fix the issue and not screw with custom settings? This is the second time it’s happened and this time the radio defaulted to AM. Ford engineers please take note.

That would happen if the Dealer installed the update or if it was OTA!

UPDATE:
I started having issues with Bluetooth (mostly) & usb connection to CarPlay. Apple Maps, Music and YouTube Music loads very slowly and when it does connect it loses connection while using these apps. Ford AI suggested a soft reset to the Sync4 system. That did not work. Next suggestion was to do a hard or factory reset of the Sync4 system. That seemed to fix it but 2 days later the problems came back.

Anyone else experiencing similar problems since the BCM over the air upda

my dealer installed BCM update disabled my keypad. They did fix it. 👍

it’s interesting with the new fathom ev ford is touting more frequent and easier updates with the new architecture.

a so called software defined vehicle. 🚗
