Originally when I purchased my Ranger I grabbed a Truxedo Truxport soft roll tonneau cover. Fast forward to now, and I am not overly impressed with it. This is the 3rd truck I have installed one of these on, but I just don't like the fit of it. I find at highway speeds it looks like the back by the tailgate starts to flap, not sure if its the weatherstripping flapping out, or the back lip itself, but I just don't care for it.

I was thinking of going with a tri-fold and found the Bison's in Canada are priced much better than the BAKflips.

Has anyone installed one on a 24 and can give any feedback? I have some pause because their website shows the same part number for 19-24 in the 5' box and I thought the dimensions of the 24's was different than the past generation.

Or does anyone want to talk me out of the swap? I got the soft rolls because I liked that I had full bed access if I needed. For as often as I actually run with it wide open I don't think it will be a bother to block the back window, plus I gain the ability to run it in a partially open/closed position, something you can't do with a roll up.

Open to any comments.

Yes I have one on mine. Leaks a bit but it's not the cover that leaks it's all the extra holes Ford puts in the bed. I am happy with it. Mine sits on top of the rails and if I need the whole bed I can take it off in about a minute. Hangs a bit over the back at the corners but I get a real good seal on top of the tailgate. I am fairly close to them so they installed it for free and it was a cash transaction so $600 out the door.

Thanks, that looks really good. I think that is the route I will go, but the tri-fold instead.

I have the Bison Flip Back Hard Tri-fold Tonneau Cover. It’s good for the price. It does hang over a bit near the cab, but that is not an issue. The clamps they provided did not work so I found some on Amazon. I did a Google review of it.

Do you have a link to the clamps you used?

I have the Ford soft trifold on my wife's RR. The one on the F150 in the picture is 6 years old and still shines up good. I liked it, because I could climb in the back of my pickup box, unclamp It, and get it out of there when I need the full bed. The only problem with the ranger is getting up into your bed, climbing up in there without a step. So when my ranger raptor comes, I'm getting the soft Ford roll up kind that you are talking about.

These are what I used. Search Amazon with this description and they should be first in the result.

I just ordered a bison for my 2024.
Can you confirm the clamps it comes with don’t work? I will order these if so….

seems like the bakflip mounting is the best but hard to beat the price of the bison.

Those are the clamps I used. The ones that came with my cover would not work. You might want to contact them to see if they are still providing them.
