Originally when I purchased my Ranger I grabbed a Truxedo Truxport soft roll tonneau cover. Fast forward to now, and I am not overly impressed with it. This is the 3rd truck I have installed one of these on, but I just don't like the fit of it. I find at highway speeds it looks like the back by the tailgate starts to flap, not sure if its the weatherstripping flapping out, or the back lip itself, but I just don't care for it.
I was thinking of going with a tri-fold and found the Bison's in Canada are priced much better than the BAKflips.
Has anyone installed one on a 24 and can give any feedback? I have some pause because their website shows the same part number for 19-24 in the 5' box and I thought the dimensions of the 24's was different than the past generation.
Or does anyone want to talk me out of the swap? I got the soft rolls because I liked that I had full bed access if I needed. For as often as I actually run with it wide open I don't think it will be a bother to block the back window, plus I gain the ability to run it in a partially open/closed position, something you can't do with a roll up.
Open to any comments.
