Hi!
Probably a lame topic for a lot off people, but for those of you that have a BOV that vents to atmosphere have many seen that the bov is in a stupid place e, everyone with a little experience knows it should be placed as close to the throttle body as possible to help the turbo spin as well as possible.
Well this stupid placement makes the bov empty only one turbo. Also when you put a bov spacer on, it runs 50 of that small amount of air back in the intake and only 50% of one turbo to vent to atmosphere, so I experimented on making in blow everything to atmosphere so I took of the hose from the bov recycling pipe and blocked it from both side. (Big side and intake pipe side)
It actually makes a big difference when you let of at peak boost around 3-4000rpm.

took two pictures and put a drawing on so you guys can see what I mean.

NOW! next project is moving the bov to the hose straight before the throttle body.

anyone else tried any of these two mods?

Ford doesn't put the BOV anywhere near that location on any trucks I've seen, certainly not my gen 2 raptor. I'd not worry about where the location is at all really but let us know how it goes.

The location of a big is very crucial, this one sided bob solution that ford has done here is absolutely stupid. My rs6 at least have one for each turbo

I'd like to hear more about this. What he is saying sounds logical.

Your RS6 has dual intakes though right? Being that the intake on the Raptor is connected by both turbo intake tubes, its not necessary to have separate BOV's. The BOV in its location can release the pressure from both turbos.

Generally with a big turbo you want BOV close to Tb. On MAF cars, best to divert to directly in front of turbo inlet, downstream of the MAF. The volume of these little turbos, coupled with MAP, really wouldn’t make an appreciable difference, esp with computer controlled TB, waste gates, throttle, and transmission. There is enough programmed lag, slip, and take up to keep things quick and smooth.
