Can i get nother Fob?

I have a XL..has key start..can auto start with ford pass on phone...if I buy nother Ford fob with push button on fob will it pair to truck? Hope switch key over by driving roll pin out. Then one step farther if I get aftermarket fob will that work?

If you are talking about getting a OEM FOB with the push-button start, that is not going to work.

Somebody mentioned in another thread that supposedly you cannot have more than two FOB's programmed to this Ranger and one of the old FOB's has to be removed before a new one can be added. Do not know how true that is but putting it out there just incase to temper expectations.

I stopped at Ford and asked...need to install push button start with NEW dash module..and get 2 new fobs...BIG..BIG MONEY!!! THANKS for reply!

There might be aftermarket kits out there that will utilize the OEM fob that makes you press the lock button like 3X to initiate a remote start. I had one for my 2020 XL F-150.

You could get a module from Start-X for about $100 that plugs into the OBD port that works with
non-push button starts and factory fob.

I have a 3rd factory fob. G6, XLT 2wd, Mid level tech package. I can remote start from all 3 remotes. Dealers having issues with successfully programming the 3rd have to perform some key machine firmware update. My dealer here in New Orleans did initially have issues programming the 3rd but resolved the issue with new key machine software.
