I ordered a 2025 XLT last month. It is scheduled by Ford for production the week of 12/1. Is it too late to make changes to the order?

Do you have a VIN? If yes, don't think so. Everything I have read on other forums says you must then cancel and reorder.

I do have a VIN. If I cancel this order, I bet they won't let me place another order for a 2025.

How about your create the new order before canceling the old? But I don’t think the company will penalize you either ways.

Have you done a National new truck search on Trucar or Autotrader for a 2025 XLT that matches your new build? Or have your dealer look in the Ford system for one? You could go that route, find what you want, then cancel your order. You can refuse the truck you ordered upon delivery but there may be penalties depending on your dealer policy and contract.

FYI - just cause you ordered the vehicle doesn’t mean you need to purchase it. Unless the dealer made you put money down (which would be unusual) you have no obligation to the vehicle. Ordering another really depends more on the dealer than Ford.

True about dealer policies and down payment. In 2021, I had to put down $400 to order my F150 but I got it in writing that it was fully refundable on delivery with right of refusal. Dealers can just sell it to someone else.
