If the bedside step is a dealbreaker for you, it might be worth keeping an eye on forums like this or even reaching out to Ford directly to get some clarity.

Thankfully since this thread came out, two members on the forum have successfully purchased the parts and installed the bed box side step on their ‘24 Rangers. I don’t have access to the tools necessary, so I unfortunately will have to pay for the dealership to install it. So currently saving pennies as it’s a lot more expensive then the ~$215 factory option.
