The newest over the air software update really messed up my radio. It says it is supposed to improve connectivity. It doesn't. Radio turns on defaulted to FM radio even though I turned off the truck listening to Sirius. Sometimes it starts up in the GPS screen or a blank screen. I cannot get AppleCarPlay to work at all. And, Alexa was totally gone. Reinstalled that app but she says she is having trouble connecting - check network connection and try again. How do I do that! Very frustrating. After this gets fixed I think I am going to turn off automatic updates.
Anyone have any suggestions? My wife says to get a new truck.

I haven’t gotten an update, but my Dad has a f150, and if the system isn’t restarted after an update his system starts doing weird things. You could try rebooting your head unit and see if that helps.

Ford's Sync is really temperamental sometimes. Usually once a month, I do a system reset, Hold Volume up and Track FWD on the steering wheel at the same time till the screen goes blank and the Ford Icon comes back. I also delete all phones from the head unit and the Ford Bluetooth on my phone before I do the reboot. Then reconnect like it's a new phone after everything initializes. I get connectivity issues on occasion, also sometimes when I start the truck, my right side speakers won't work at all. It fixes it every time. It's come to a point that before I start my truck now, I hit the push button without starting and let everything boot up before engine start. I think there's too many electronic systems initializing at one time when you go straight to engine start that it can't keep up sometimes.

First thing I would try is disconnecting the negative cable from the 12v battery for 20 minutes. This will force a hard reset of all the modules.

If your Ford app and connectivity is still working, message me the VIN and I'll take a look to see if I see anything helpful.
