I am trying to install the 3 amber leds on the grill of my truck and am having a wiring issue. F150leds says I should easily access the side marker light to attach the quick connector but there is no way that I can see to do this. Is there any other way to do this without using the aux switches as I would like to have them come on automatically as the side lights. Let me know, thanks

You can pick it off the headlight pigtail I just used the Aux 1 and leave it on and turns on and off with the truck

Dumb question, but did you take the plastic valance off? Once that piece is off, the wiring was all pretty visible / accessible behind the headlight.

I’m installing some grill lights this week. I plan to use a micro2 tap with a 5amp fuse in fuse box slot 139 (turns on with ignition).

didn’t want to tap the marker lights because this way I can remove/replace the lights easily (without leaving evidence they were ever there).

It was a difficult to access but by partially removing the wheel well liner and using some plastic prying tools I was able to remove the marker light. I agree it is way more challenging than it needs to be.

They show how to do it on a video on the website, you just pry out the side marker light with a plastic trim removal tool (it is clipped in) and then assuming you bought the “plug and play harness” you just clip the harness in-between the factory harness and the marker light. Then wire the running lights into the plug and play harness.. hopefully that helps

The video and the extra cost harness make it easy. Be careful not to cross the wires. Led's need the proper polarity.

I tapped the headlight DRL instead of the side marker. It was pretty easy once I had the wiring diagram. F150 plug and play adapter did not work for me.

I tapped the side marker lights with no problem. I did have to use a wire snake to pull the grill light wire down to the marker light but once I did that it was pretty easy. I tried using their plug and play harness but it didn't work for me so I tapped the wires of the marker light instead. works great....

Morning @DavidS!

Were you able to get your lights hooked up?

If you wish to install onto your side marker plug the installation video below will help. Your Ranger Raptor install will be the same process as this regular 24' Ranger. It does not show removal of the side marker panel, but just as @SDRangerRaptor has stated you will need to pry it out with a trim tool.

If anyone needs any assistance or has questions please let us know!

I just went with running mine off Aux 1.
I leave the switch on all the time, aux 1 is not hot all the time, so it won't ever run your battery down or cause any issues like that. Looking at trying to get to the marker light wiring really looked like a PIA, and I figured I have all these Aux switches why not use them. Very simple when wiring into the AUX switch as shown in that install video.

I installed the amber lights on my grill the exact method they showed in their video. No problems
