Curious if anyone feels this way/had issues with anything they've ordered; I recently ordered a whole bunch of items from them (Grille lighting kit, side vent kit, "Hood Mounted" Spartan light kit, harness adapters, etc) and am pretty disappointed with what I received vs. What I was charged for some of the items. I'll go through them all below, just for clarity. (and to not dig on one item specifically since some of the things I received are totally fine.)

-The grill lights (Link Here) seem to have defects in them; there's little black spots inside the light, and the amber colored portion is pressed up against the lens of the housing in some spots. For $250, I don't think any of this should be there. Photos Below:

-The "Hood mounted" Spartan light kit (Link Here): I installed the brackets, and absolutely could not get the hood to open fully to put the prop rod in without it hitting the lights. The brackets themselves mount in such an odd spot that it curls the edges of the windshield cowl up and it will not sit back in the channel unless you were to modify it in some way (you can even see it on photos on their website, I should have looked closer.) I didn't even attempt to install the passenger side bracket after the alignment issues with the drivers side.

-The Spartan lights themselves seem very nice, and I am definitely going to use them, I purchased Adventure Labs hood mount brackets (they mount on the hood hinge bolts and actually move with the hood) to use these with.

-The harness that came with the hood light kit is universal, and in my opinion is so incorrect for the ranger raptor that they should either not include it, or make a specific one to the truck, especially for the price. Even in their YouTube install video, they power their relay harness off the battery instead of using the upfitter harness, which is what it's exactly designed for, and then proceed to zip tie what looks like ten feet of additional harness to the intake tube on the engine. I will need to modify this harness extensivley.

-Raptor Side Vent LED Lighting (Link Here) I have zero issue with these, I think they'll look great and the install is pretty straighforward.

-I bought a pair of the Ranger Raptor Plug & Play Headlight Accessory Connector harnesses (Link Here) to use to power the amber part of the cree lights, the vent lights, and the grille lights. These looks nice, and are assembled well, although I am going to remove the wago connectors and pin Deutsch conectors onto them. I'm sure the wago connectors would be fine, and they're clearly pictured on the site, It's just a personal preference to replace them.

Overall, pretty meh about it, what do y'all think about all of this? I plan on reaching out to them at the same time I make this post.

Agreed, definite lack of options for exterior lighting for the RR at the moment; I see M&R has a few items, but they have the same exact hood light brackets as F150LEDs does, so I'm not so sure it isn't all coming from the same place.

Thanks for sharing. I was slightly tempted by these but hadn't pulled the trigger because $250 for 3 LED marker lights seems a bit steep. Guess I'll hold off for now and see who else comes out with a kit.

Well you've certainly given me pause—mine arrived yesterday lol.

I agree the black specks aren't cool, Im not sure about the yellow material being up against the clear front, as in whether thats "bad" or not. Mine have it too (see pic).

Did you manage to get in touch with them?

I read a bunch of posts about all of these kits, it seemed like a lot of people were happy with these ones. The wiring seemed superior and people liked their fit inside the grill. But man it is hard to tell with AM stuff...

Only issue i really had with my grille lights is the hole you have to drill can damage your grille. It almost destroyed my grille since its such a huge hole you need to drill

Hmm, second guessing getting grill lights from them. No better sources?

There are special drill bits for drilling through plastic called brad-point or twist high-speed steel (HSS) bits. Anyone using those or just regular drill bits? I used to use regular bits on plastic but taped the drill area on both sides, if possible, with duct tape to avoid chips and used a smaller drill bit first, then progressed up in sizes until I got the right hole opening. It worked, most of the time. Now I will be installing the side vent light kit but not until I get a brand new 7/16 brad-point bit and will still tape it off. I don't trust drilling plastic to used drill bits and now only use brand new ones because they are not expensive compared to a new grill.

I reached out via Email, and they have an AI response bot that responds back to you, I aired my grievances about everything posted above and this was the response:

Hello Chris,
Thanks for sharing the details about your order and the issues you've encountered. I want to address each of your concerns:

  • Regarding the 2024 - 2026 Ranger Raptor LED Grill Kit from order #236155, we acknowledge your report about the defects (black spots and the amber portion pressed against the lens). If you'd like, we can move forward with reviewing your warranty claim and arranging a replacement grill light kit. Please confirm if you would like us to proceed with this replacement.
  • For your feedback on the universal harness included with the Hood Mounted MKII Spartan Kit, the harness is designed to fit a range of vehicles, which is why it may seem excessive for the Ranger Raptor. At this time, there isn't a more specific harness available for your model. If you have any additional questions or need a different solution regarding the harness, just let us know and we can pass it along for further review.
  • Concerning the fitment issues and your request for a partial refund for the MKII Spartan Kit brackets, we can process a return for the brackets following our return policy. You can find the full procedure here: https://www.f150leds.com/pages/returns. Once the brackets are returned, our team will need to review your request for a partial refund, as these situations are reviewed by a human agent.
A human agent will follow up with you regarding the outcome of the partial refund for the brackets after you initiate the return.
Let us know if you'd like to go ahead with the grill light kit replacement or if you have other questions!
F150LEDs Automated Support Team

I went through the RMA process for both the hood lights and Grille lights (they had to be done separately since they're different reasons, dumb.) and they were both approved; annoyingly the Grille Light RMA had an included return label, whereas the brackets did not, so I guess I'm shipping those back on my own dime.

Yea those look great, even without the Amber DRLs. Im still planning to go ahead with mine (I kinda think the little yellow stuff against the plastic is not really a problem)

🤞

Well, install was worse than I had hoped, tapping into side marker not so bad but drilling through the grille was not cool. They are some big a$$ holes because of the connector part only, which seems silly… but they do look goooood (if I do say so myself)
