FMI Rear Differential Armor and Rival Gas Tank Armor Fitment

Hello,
Looking to understand how much to cut/trim off Rival gas tank armor so that the said armor components don’t conflict during vehicle movement.
I received a photo from Rival, taken by one of their customers but photo doesn’t answer the unknown of how much to actually cut.

Later in Corsica i found out it danged heavy on the corner of the tank guard and decided
to take the corner off.
