Why would I not take the Ford Warranty? I’ve never purchased a different warranty. I’ve always taken the one that comes with the car/truck/SUV that I’ve bought. It comes with the truck. I did docusign for my house so I know about it but not planning on taking the computer with me. This is a fun trip not work related - no computers allowed!!! That’s the agreement we all made when we planned the trip.
I thought you were referring to an extended warranty. Of course you would get the normal stock warranty with the car. I'm guess I'm just confused why you wouldn't get a full warranty if you were in Europe and signed the documents remotely.

You wouldn't need to take a PC for docusign, a phone could accomplish the same thing. Assuming you still plan on having a smartphone with you.

Regardless this seems like a situation the dealership would accommodate as long as you give them a heads up.

JT91299224: I would think that you can take your trip. Just let the dealership know your situation. Did you put money down? If not, offer to give them something. If you have been waiting that long, I would hope that a dealership would work with you. Worst case, they set it out as advertisement to draw folks in, even if it is "sold" and they can't let anyone test drive it. In today's world of easy and free media, a dealership needs to be very careful about how they treat the customer.
I did not have to put any money down. They were even going to let me back out of it during the strike or if Ford upped the price as a result of the strike. I have worked with this dealership since the late 80’s minus the 15 years I lived across the country. It’s the only Ford dealership in my area still owned by the same people. My father when he was with Ford Credit has known them since the 70’s. It’s a known thing in this area that they don’t hold vehicles - none do here - Nissan, Mazda, Toyota, Chevy, etc. probably because we aren’t a big city like Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Seattle etc. and it’s harder to get cars -especially in todays world.. And that started back when the lots were packed. Now days most look at best 1/2 full. I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. I just hate making decisions when we are talking thousands of dollars without all the facts. If it didn’t take so darn long I wouldn’t care. But right now I’m at 8 1/2 months which it will be longer before it gets here. It’s insane. I remember dad ordering his company cars and it never took this long. This is just nuts.

If I could sign early which they won’t do I’d lose the time on the warranty. So if I signed in May and it did get here until August there would be 3 months gone. Not an issue though because it’s not an option. I’ve never needed an extended warranty. Aside from the 1st two cars I had as a teenager. None of the others except this current one I turned in at the end of the 2 or 3 years. I’ve leased everything. Had to actually finance this one but thought I’d only have it a couple months. We are at 10 months now and having to make repairs. Am also going to have to put new tires on - darn it.
