How does the extended Ford Protect coverage work if a brand new vehicle has had a Ford Performance tune installed by a Ford Dealer or other certified tech that reduces the original powertrain warranty to 3/36k from 5/60k? Does anything change? Is the powertrain still fully covered for the duration of the Ford Protect extended warranty that was purchased?

I believe you still have coverage. I had visited with our Ford extended warranty rep on this previously.

I have never purchased from them but any Ford manufacturers warranty can be used at any dealer that does Ford warranty work.

You can buy your vehicle from a Ford dealer and go to any other dealer and get a warranty. You can even buy one after owning it for a while.

That said I believe a few here have bought from them.

It will show up on your Ford pass app and is in all the Ford dealership's warranty system nationwide!
