push button starts are so much easier to steal. Ill stick with my good ol key. they need to either destroy the inside tearing stuff apart, and mess with the wiring or try and get a key made... whereas push button are highly susceptible to relay and cloning attacks.
That is spot on, and true.

Can it do global open close the windows or start the truck? My fob can.
No to both - but remote start via the free FordPass phone app (or watch app) solves the second - and doesn't require you to be in range. FordPass app also lets you manage AC/climate settings.

Or you can carry the regular fob on days when you need that functionality from the fob, and not carry it on days you don't.

If you live where theft is a significant concern and can't move elsewhere, then yes stick with the XLT or lower trim Rangers since the Lariat and RR are push to start. (though have we seen a lot of the Lariats and RR's getting stolen vs the XLTs?)

That said, keyed ignition cars were regularly stolen long before push to start became a thing, so I wouldn't personally feel any security in that aspect. If someone wants your truck, they'll get it - whether they break the column lock & bypass the immobilized, or pull it onto a flatbed, or just wait for you to show up and take your keys at gunpoint.

As for relay attacks - beginning in 2019 Ford introduced key fobs with a motion-sensor sleep mode - when the fob hasn't moved for 40 seconds it goes to sleep, thus preventing relay attacks. I've not seen info on whether that applies to all current models today but I'd guess (hope?) probably so.

Perhaps at some point automakers will develop a solution to CAN bus attacks. If really concerned for that, add a hidden kill switch.

Ford is hoping to start making 80,000 Super duties a year starting late Q3 2026 in Canada to supplement US plants.
Interesting, $80K-$100K truck's you can't write off the interest on is likely to be a problem for some dealers and customers, especially for dealers in the region's most likely to be receiving those Canadian trucks.

Can you imagine having to check the VIN on every truck the customer may be interested in to see where it is made and if the interest will be tax deductible. LOL

FYI
If the VIN starts with.
1 = USA
2 = Canada
3 = Mexico

GM and Ram is going to have similar issues as well since they produce there trucks in multiple plants some in the USA some in Canada, and some in Mexico.

What % of those Super Duty trucks do you suppose are purchased for personal use vs business use?

Asking 'cuz if it's a business asset the interest paid was already deductible regardless of origin.

And also worth noting that the interest being tax deductible doesn't make it free, you just get a discount on it, the amount depending on the federal income tax marginal rate, which is likely between 12-24% for most folks.

Very true!
Just a wild guess would be 50%-60% business use purchases.
I have never seen any real data on that breakdown.

Even personal can quite often be sold to a business owner that puts the truck in their businesses name for the tax benefits.

Top rung rating along with all the love and praise here and in other forums, and still......Ford seems to view the Ranger as the evil red-headed stepchild....they NEVER advertise it....they NEVER give it any kind of accolades....they NEVER peddle merch geared to a Ranger theme.... There are times where Ford REALLY SUCKS!!!!!!
