Do you think it will go over a Line-X spray-in liner OK? I want to cover the edge of a rubber bed gap seal to prevent cargo from hitting the raised edge. Just like this pic (found on Internet), except I have the BedRug Classic liner on the bed. I don't want a cover that velcros in place for just a couple of days :)...

Hi all - bringing this one back up. For those with the Ford branded tailgate pad, is this material similar to the bed mat? Or is this a hard, plasticky type material you would see typical of drop-in bedliners? Hoping for something that would offer a little traction so things don't just slip around on it.

If not Ford, who else offers some protection? I've already confirmed with Weathertech that they do not make one nor do they have one in development.

"I'm sorry, we do not offer the tailgate liner for your vehicle, and there is not one in development. We have discontinued making the tailgate liner for most vehicles as the manufacturer sometimes includes them. I recommend reaching out to your local Ford dealership to see if they have any recommendations for you."

I would say that it is the hard plastic - typical of bedliners. Hope this helps. Steve
