Looking to see if that off set will cause the stock tires to rub the top of the fender at full compression. I really like the Black Rhino BR028's, they come in +35mm off set. No, they aren't super light, 32lbs, but it's 5lbs lighter than my stock bead lockers and they look WAY better.
I can also get them custom painted entirely in their dark satin bronze, which I think will look stellar with my Shelter Green RR. The wheel shop can also possibly increase the off set moderately by +3 to +5mm for a fee, so I may just bite the bullet and get them in +38 or +40mm to stay as close to stock as possible.
If +35's have no clearance issues on stock K03's even at full compression of jumps, I might be fine with +35, but I don't want to go any wider than that to maintain proper clearance when really pushing the suspension. I MAY also go with a 1 or 2" strut spacer and larger tires down the road, so that off-set range is more ideal for that use as well, but for now I'm focusing more on Rally style mods, so stock tire size for the time being (plus I also tow occasionally, so I'm weary of adding too much stress to the drivetrain by upsizing, especially with the Pro Cal).
I loathe the stock bead lockers something fierce and I don't have a desire to mess with actually running them as bead locks. If I could have gotten the truck the standard alloys I would have, but the only variants around me all had optioned with the lockers.
That's the wheel on a Tacoma with 285/70R17 tires, so about the look I'm going for. I think it matches the "boxy utilitarian" appearance of the ranger much better than the "flowery" looking spokes on the factory wheels, and it won't stick out past the tire like the OE bead locks do, which I absolutely hate!
