Hi all,

Picked up this 24 FX4 301 Tech back in February, moving on from my 01 Sierra. Had a 93 Ranger when my wife and I first got together - Brilliant Blue or whatever the paint code was back then, so Velocity Blue was the only choice. Pushed the old ranger to 428k and the GMC to 350k so hoping for a good long life out of this truck.

The 2.3 is plenty punchy, comfortable, been great so far. Got the J-braces installed free by the sales dealer after showing some of the forum posts here (so thank you!). One minor battery undervolt issue from sitting on the lot for a few months but all resolved - will post in tech issues.

Just did an oil change at 2500 kms. So far bedliner, bed mat, Muslogy splash guards and console tray. Synetic tonneau on order (finally restocked Canadian store).

With a 2014 and then 2022 F-150 for work trucks, I didn't need another new fullsize. Quite happy with a new midsize no bigger than the old fullsize.

Also in Poco. They had about a dozen 24s back in Feb, still a few left. Sounds like you saved an extra 3k over what I did.

Cactus Grey was our 2nd choice but nostalgia won the day

They had 4 left with the 2.7 and FX4 package when I bought mine. Black, silver and cactus gray, plus a black one with the chrome package. I was tempted by the silver which was surprisingly nice. But the cactus gray appealed to me because it is different. I love the colour now. That being said, if they'd had a velocity blue one left, I would have been tempted. I see the silver 2024 is gone from the lot now.
