Doing some Google research and it appears that the Ranger Raptor has a high percentage of American made parts/components...

where is the ford ranger raptor 3.0l gasoline motor manufactured - Google Search
does the ford michigan assembly plant stamp the body panels for the ranger - Google Search
where is the ford 10 speed transmission made - Google Search

with final assembly at the Michigan assembly plant it would seem on the surface that tariffs would not affect the price that much, however, those items above while made in America might receive raw materials from other places such as Canada and Mexico.

Asking is anyone has more knowledge and information of where most of the Ranger Raptor actually comes from?

46% of the Ranger components are from the US/Canada. It will certainly be affected by the tariffs.

This is detailed in the American Automotive Labeling Act (AALA) list

Here is the AALA list if anyone is interested: https://www.nhtsa.gov/sites/nhtsa.gov/files/2025-02/MY2025-AALA-Alphabetical-2.4.25.pdf

I work at a tier 1 supplier. We machine and assemble components in the US for major OEMs. We will absolutely be hurt by the tariffs because tier 2 suppliers have foreign materials. (Good luck getting a wiring harness from somewhere other than Mexico.)

The cost will be passed up the supply chain over time.

I knew the cost would be going up. I was just wondering how much of the actual vehicle was truly assembled in America. What is misleading is the fact that the motor is from Ohio, The transmission from Michigan, the sheet metal is stamped in Michigan, final assemble is in Michigan, yet the report you answered back with shows only 46% American. I get it that we are a global supply chain, but it boggles the mind to hear only 46% when all those big-ticket items are American.
Thanks for the added information, much appreciated.

Absolutely - To your question, I'd consider all the sub components from that trans and motor, all the tier 2 and tier 3 suppliers that make those components. Also the amount of border crossings for that transmission as it reaches a complete build. A big ticket item with US assembly could easily be 80+% foreign material.

The next 6 months will be very interesting. Glad I don't have any big purchases on the horizon.

We're now expecting a 9-10% increase in cost for the light vehicle market. This is the market as a whole, not just imports. This cost would be by the end of '25, not averaged throughout the year.

We expect similar cost increases in '26 and '27, though not as severe.

Some suppliers threaten to stop shipments if the OEM doesn't absorb the cost. We'll see how that all pans out.
