Some day i gope to own and actually use a casita. After having those particle board travel trailers, i learned the awesomeness of casitas, burrows, and one other brand that i cannot think of right now. All fiberglass and lightweight for ease of pulling

Welcome to the Ranger/Casita family.
I too have a 2025 XLT Ranger and tow a Casita. The Ranger has the V6, What engine does yours have?
Last week towed Casita from Dallas to Witcha Falls to Lubbock about 800 miles round trip. Road when from flat to hilly depending on where we were. Used tow mode but did NOT lock out gears. The tranmission shifted as needed. The temp never went higher than then the top of the Icon. I was able to see the trans temp, oil temp and amount of boost. All were normal. Held speed around 65MPH. Hope this helps.

Syneticusa tonneau with low crossbars. Bike trays via Amazon brand name Gathersky GATHERSKY Roof Bike Rack Mount... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CSDNN1ZN?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share So far it's been working well but has only traveled 1600ish miles so far. Between bike trays also via Amazon ARKSEN 64"x23"x6" Skinny Roof... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C53KLD2K?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Cargo basket so far very very useful.

My suggestion would be to not mess with locking out the high gears to start, drive it for a while normally. I’m sure there are situations where it’s useful otherwise the option wouldn’t exist, I just don’t believe it’s very common. If used when it’s unnecessary you’ll just get worse mileage and put more wear on the moving parts.

I am not familiar with your instrument panel but the temperature gauge that you are showing appears to be the engine oil temperature. If that is correct then I would say that your oil is running much hotter than my 2024 Ranger, 2.3 engine, 4x2 with Michelin Defender tires. I just finished a trip last week towing my Casita to a campground about 300 miles away from home. Outside temperatures were in the low 90s and my oil temperature never got past the half way mark on the gauge. I was towing in Tow/Haul mode at 65 mph with 10th gear locked out. My transmission fluid temperature gauge was just below the mid point the entire trip. Just my observation.
I have been very pleased with the Ranger/Casita combination. My Casita is 9 years old and I have towed it with a Ford F150 and a Toyota 4Runner before purchasing the Ranger. The Ranger is by far the best tow vehicle in my opinion. My wife likes it too!
Safe travels.

RanDan thanks. I will snap more shots for the dealer. I traded a perfectly fine 4R TRD off-road for the ranger if only because the ranger had the break controller...then discovered after the purchased the advanced tow add-on feature set...which one this return home trip we've hardly touched, like putting the stickers on the tongue so it can help us back up. We've never towed anything/been reliant on pull through sites all the way back. So much to learn. Ranger has to return to dea.er anyway for a tire pressure monitor sensor fault popping up on the screen everything we start.
