I decided to be a guinea pig and test the accuracy of Bestop's website that claims their SuperTop for Truck 2 soft top/tonneau cover setup fits 2019-2024 Ford Rangers (I also tried to verify through their chat last week which they again said it does fit 2024 trucks).
The good news is that it did fit. The bad news is that it didn't fit per the directions. The plastic caps on our bed rails have a retainer clip that interferes with the front clamp; directions are 7" spacing and I had to use 6" to clear the clip. The bigger issue appears to be that the interior rail dimension on our 6G trucks is slightly wider than the 5G trucks; directions are to stack some rubber blocks between the clamps and bed rail but there isn't enough bed rail to set the blocks on. I was able to use a single block in a different location for each clamp and get everything to tighten up and it all seems solidly located, but I will be keeping an eye on everything for a while.
There are some gaps in the rails at the front/back but that's inherent to the Bestop design and doesn't appear to be a 5G parts on 6G truck issue. I have had a conversation with Bestop and informed them they really need to update their website to list their current kit as a 19-23 kit. After some back and forth, they did tell me that they will be releasing a 24+ model in a few months.
Overall I'm happy with the end result even if it took some tweaking. I'm looking forward to picking up the tonneau cover add-on for daily use and I'll use the full soft top for camping and race support.
