I just received an email from a survey company called IPSOS to rate my 2025 Ranger. Don't know if any of you have received this email. IPSOS is a French consumer survey company and not affiliated with Ford. They seem legit but do not follow US laws regarding consumer protection but instead are following the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) established by the European Union. To make money, IPSOS sells the information they gather from you to their "clients" who pay them. Could be Ford. Could be anyone. IPSOS is worth Euro €2.91 billion or US $3.37 billion. I found reports of IPSOS having you register with them using personal data, then promising you money or a gift card to gather detailed personal information about you and your vehicle but never delivering what they promised or being difficult to contact. I am not filling out their survey as I don't trust it, but I thought I would at least pass along what I found for what it's worth so if you get contacted you can decide for yourself. Below is what it looks like:

I got one and no compensation offer. The survey was super long and detailed and I decided not to complete it. I'm guessing the dealer is selling them leads? I do believe they make vast sums of money though from the data gathering...

Could be the other way around. They might gather results, then present it to Ford for a fee. Either way, they'll have all your info, so be aware that you'll be inundated by offers from every auto parts supplier.

Yeah, I only made it thru a percentage of the survey just to see what questions were on there but it was a very long survey

They might make money per question answered, not survey completed.

A good survey meets objectives as concisely as possible, before people get bored enough to stop answering truthfully/thoughtfully and take the quickest way out.

Ford could do consumer sentiment on here for free, but I bet the picture wouldn’t be as rosy as what they’d get from ipsos.
