Hi!
I'm installing some Bilstein 5100 from a bronco takeoff and running into some issues getting the new strut in. Not enough clearance.

I have everything disconnected or loosened(LCA at frame) but I can't disconnect the LCA knuckle. It has a single bolt, I removed the nut and it moves around pretty freely but I can't separate it. Also, do I need to loosen the hub nut and is that single use (4wd).

Any advice is appreciated!

As per the instructions in my leveling kit, You should be disconnecting the stabilizer end link, the tie rod end and upper ball joint from the spindle.
You have to spread the upper and lower arms to gain access to the spring/shock assembly.
Make sure to secure the spindle so that the axle doesn't pull out of the differential.
I'm not sure why you went about it the way you did.

Thank you!
I did it that way because it's my first attempt and had various sources telling me different things.
Learning experience 🙂 my mechanic skills are low but growing.

It's a 4wd and from my understanding, those nuts are not reusable, right?

they may say you cannot reuse them but i would not worry about it, i would reuse them.

when you reinstall the struts, you are supposed to remove the two lower bolts to make it easier to slide in place and then put the bolts back in. use your foot to push the lower control arm down while you put the strut assembly in place and it will give you enough room.

i just did a 2.5 level kit on my truck saturday so its fresh in my memory

Thanks!!
Yeah the 2 lower bolts are in there pretty good as it's take off but removing those would probably provide enough clearance.
I appreciate the info!
