How did you mount it (I haven't even found any specific mounts/brackets for BD light bars to go with the ranger raptor)? Do you think a 30 would fit?

Also, did you think about putting it behind the grille?
A 30 would fit if you mounted the same way I did but in either case I made a custom bracket to suit. Neither would fit behind the grill because the BD lights have such large heats sinks on them and as it was I had to “tweak” a few plastic parts to make them fit.

They work amazing and no loss of light behind the grill. The 20 matches with the spread of the ditch lights to give an amazing amount of coverage.

Ah OK. Thanks. Any closer pictures of the brackets or how they're held into the grill (assuming the grill itself and not any structure under the lights or behind the grill)?

I'm actually thinking of putting the BD 30" S8 behind the grill since:
1. Another member mentioned they fit behind the grille unlike the onX
2. They have an Amber DRL feature even if they're a little less bright than the onX
3. If I had the choice, I'd want to keep it looking more stock with behind-grille lights

This install video for the Altiq Light Bar gives you a good idea of the area to work with and mounting points available.

Altiq's video is indeed what got me started down this path. But the lack of custom mounts for the BD bars is why I'm asking.

I'm with you. I was trying to recycle the 30" BD S8 from my 2018 Raptor and could not find any mounting options for my Ranger Raptor or my R. I'm sure you could come up with a bracket to make it work, but I went the lazy route and ordered the Altiq. I've been very happy with it so far.

I believe the Altiq depth is 1.93" and it is snug. Touches the back of the grille. The S8 is 2.84" deep.

That's concerning. I thought the S8 fits but the onX doesn't based on this post here. When I asked him on DMs, he said he didn't need to modify anything for the S8 But tried the OnX and that was depth limited.

How do you find light output and general sturdiness between the BD S8 and the Altiq / Supernova?

Another option is the M&r dual row also mentioned Here and elsewhere.

Well there you go, he would know better. Guessing he has the back of the light bar closer to the intercooler then.

The gap in between the last time I used my S8 and later my Altiq would be several months so my memory wouldn't be able to give you a good answer. But I don't feel like I lost anything with the Altiq. Also paired them with some BD S2 Pros for the Ditch Lights. Spec wise the S8 says 19,050 Lumens and the Altiq is 14,850. But Altiq is fraction of price and easy install.

Here it is,
obviously cutting of the grill was necessary, but that was easy.
You can see how deep the Onyx is. Performance wise I’ve had BD lights for over 10 years now and definitely wouldn’t choose anything else.
