Hi all,
Just joined the forum. I have a 2025 Ranger XLT with 10k on it. I've read threads on other forums about the inaccuracies of the ambient temperature problem and Ford says there's no problem. My question may or may not relate to this but it seems anytime the ambient air temp reads 90 or above I get a low frequency rumble I can feel in the steering wheel. It seems kind of cyclic but in colder temps it's not there. I bought the truck new in Jul 2025 and never felt it before until this summer. Has anyone had this issue with the rumble in high ambient temps and could this be based on the trucks incorrect temp or actual temp?

Appreciate it any feedback.

I may have experienced this as well. I too feel a slight vibration in the steering wheel that I did not notice before. I bought my MY2025 in early Jan 2026 and did not notice this until Phoenix temperatures did their thing as we approached our annual scorching season. I was wondering whether it was because I was using the AirCon much more (i.e., constantly). I guess I should turn off the AirCon and see if there is a difference.

Nothing else seems to be off though. Steering and braking are all fine. Cabin temperature is controlled, etc. But it is definitely there. I only really notice it when stopped. So, I now have the auto hold feature on and when at a red light, I take my hands off the wheel, relax, and listen to the music. Thanks to the OP for providing evidence that I am not imagining this.

Thanks for the feedback. I've turned the ac off and fan off but it didn't make a difference. I've also checked the engine compartment and can't narrow down where it's coming from.

I have the 2.7 as well. This morning however during my daily commute to work I did not feel it. The dashboard ambient air temperature gauge ranged from 82-84 degrees F. Ran the A/C on auto mode but used recirculating on and off. I did not feel it at all either way. I will check again this afternoon when the ambient air temperature will be much higher. Expecting a relatively “comfortable” 101 today.

I'm getting ready to go on vacation. When I get back after 10 July I'm gonna schedule with the dealer for a couple of safety recalls and let them know about the rumble/vibration issue. I'll be sure to schedule it for a forecasted hot day because below 85 or so the issue is not there. BTW, I ran a scan and no codes.

OK...Just spent about an hour googling and AI. Apparently this is normal. Found an AI generated response se that stated to turn ac and fan completely off and wait 10 to 15 seconds. Previously I didn't wait that long. After waiting for about 20 seconds it went away completely. They claim this is normal.
