I had my driver's door window Run Channel replaced due to a non-noise issue (I didnt even know there was a noise issue with these trucks until after it was changed, i wouldve left alone). There was no wind noise before, but now there is in that dreaded upper-left corner (looking from inside). I've seen the other posts using the 3m Calk, etc. to seal, but didn't see any real resolution posts. I'm bringing the truck back to the dealer in a week, but as of now, all they're doing is replacing the Run Channel, again. I noted condensation on the inside of door panel, because I also noticed that the rubber boot connector that covers the wiring from cab to door by the hinges wasn't seated properly on the door side. I fixed that, but the noise is still present.
This noise is driving me crazy, and I really don't feel like having to bring back/forth to dealer 47 times to just keep repeating the same exchange of parts. This is all being covered under Warranty but the truck is 60 says old, not what I bought a brand new to deal with. Does anyone have some updated intel that they could share? Where would the rush of air be coming into the door which then tries to push out that upper left corner. Theory would place the entry anywhere along the right side of door; front of truck. Windows have been folded, tape sealed tested, etc. All conditions still make noise with the newly installed Run Channel. Maybe its a defective Run Channel for the new part?! I'll update in a week when the 2nd new-same part gets installed.
