Agreed, that would be nice as long as the design is as slim as possible. Maybe even have a door that hinges from the top but goes across the top and down the front, so when open it provides better access to what is inside.

or front-bottom w/ hinge on bottom so gravity holds the door out of the way.

These chargers have wall hanger key-holes. Not sure how realistic this is, but could have an interchangeable mounting plate with stand offs or holes for screw in stand-offs spaced appropriately so they can be configured to the different charger key-hole patterns.

Then just have a well placed L bracket that gets screwed in against the charger to lock it in place, maybe even with a thumb screw like on your mounting points you sell for your seat deletes and such..

Could even have these L brackets hit it from multiple sides to help secure it in place so any stress placed on the keyholes is limited. Only one would be needed to keep the keyholes engaged.

Just thinking of ways to make this modular.
I have looked at those screws on the bottom. The problem is they're just screwed into the plastic. They're not meant for attachment. Grabbing the battery and yanking on it before it's fully dislodged would be touch on plastic threads. The DeWalt chargers have the same and I didn't trust them to hold it in with contractors yanking on batteries.

We'll spend some more time on it soon and see what we can come up with.

Dang! That's the quickest response to that question I have ever seen! 🤣🤣

It's hard exactly, so I made this video that shows a section view of the panels and the bedside. To me, it looks like there is plenty of room. The panel sits off of the bedside 1.18".

I guess I’ll be the test dummy when black friday comes around. I Hope it fits haha. Thanks for checking!

@dbhagen I figured I would answer your questions here about adding a track kit to the MOLLE panels so we could keep them all in this thread.

I would love to do a L-track kit with these. I would prefer L-track since the connectors are so much better and easier to locate than t-slot. Plus with l-track being an extrusion it doesn't try to spread open as easily as t-slot.

Here's what I'm thinking, with properly machined extrusions, of course. It would be pretty stout mounted here and still very accessible.

This would be similarly priced to our Gladiator kit - https://americanadventurelab.com/product/jeep-gladiator-versatie-track-bed-kit/

I love the look of that. Would that be a custom fab, or would the current production versions work?

The current production parts do not have mounting holes there for L-Track. We would need to see what the demand is like before we put holes into that part of the panel that wouldn't be normally used. I'm not a big fan of the parts looking like Swiss cheese if we can avoid it.

The hard part of this is getting the extrusion machined with the correct lengths and mounting holes cut in. We need to see what demand is out there for this.

The forum has worked well for this in the past. If anyone is reading this and would be interested in a L-Track kit, as shown in the video above, please let us know here.

If there isn't enough demand to justify it, it should be relatively easy to drill the panels and attach the L-Track using generic track. Unfortunately, the holes would probably be in a less than optimal location and the length of the track would be incorrect.

I mean, if I have to drill and tap a few mount points and cut some L-track to length, I think that’s doable. As long as the rest of it doesn’t need modified.

Exactly! I didn't modify any of the panels in the model to get those tracks to line up like that. I don't think I would tap anything. I would just use through bolts and nuts on the bottom side with properly sized washers to ensure force dispersion. You can also get that track in black, which would look pretty cool. This is the exact track we would use, except not in these pre-cut lengths and pre-spaced mounting holes. Made in the US - https://a.co/d/4b2EGls

I ordered the driver and passenger side molle panels for Black Friday and finally got them installed todayafter a failure last week. The bolt kick my you know what and even after buying an induction heater I still had one stuck. I had had to go to a muffler shop to see if they could extract it. Well 10 mins later the bolt broke so the welded a nut to it and extracted the bolt. So now all panels are installed but the m4 flang bolts for our side was missing, ace hardware here I come

First off, thank you for the business!

Dang. Hate to hear that about the bolt. I'm curious, was there any corrosion on it when you got it out? I see that you may be near some salty air. The bolts in our truck came right out first try, but we're in a dry climate. I would love to find some type of pattern with the people who have had issues with them so we could have a plan of attack for these situations.

Sorry to hear about the missing bolts. That type of thing drive me absolutely nuts (no hardware pun intended). Our entire team puts in a ton of effort to get these out with the most perfect customer experience possible. Can you share the order number so I can do some research into that hardware pack? May be time for some "re-education". 😉
