Mounting a stinger gun holder

The wife wants to mount a Stinger gun holder on the passenger side of the center console. Does anyone know if there is anything behind this area? I would have to use the screws. The sticky doesn't stick to this surface very well.

I can’t answer your question about what is directly behind there, but I do know the plastic itself is pretty weak in terms of holding a loaded pistol while driving, and also the force involved in dislodging it from those strong magnets. Damage would eventually occur to the mounting clips, if nothing worse…. You should plan on removing the console and installing a metal reinforcing plate behind it. Perhaps a more conventional kydex holster would be a better solution, that uses gravity to keep the gun in place.. Or mount it under the driver seat frame down low, in front, using RAM parts.. Another member did that.
