Thanks for sharing. Not sure those dinky cup holders are worth the effort. Now if someone would do a video like this of the rear AC vents!

It's worth it to hold small to go drinks from coffee shops. With my three kids which takes up the whole rear seats, it only leaves you with 2 cup holders.

Right now for me the hardest part about this is finding the dash that goes with the cup holders. Here in the USA they don't even have the cut outs in the first place... Anyone in the Philippines can ship the dashes? haha

While on initial look at those types of lawsuits it would appear superficial, but people took serious injury from them. The coffee wasnt hot, it was literally 2nd to 3d degree burning scalding.

Regardless, I doubt its litigious, people have phone vent mounts and you never see anyone sue those folks. I would imagine primarily the issue is simply, to accommodate US sized beverages / cups, it didnt make sense so it was just deleted. Every vent / dash mounted cup holder could not correctly support anything over a small or medium drink from the drive through.

I always finding it interesting people keep using that as an example of the US being litigious without actually knowing anything about the actual lawsuit and why she got so much.

So these cupholders won't work on our 24 ranger raptors? Mine has been at the dealer for almost 2months. Forgot what the dash looked like :/

I've looked at a LOT of pics online... even if you can find the dash it won't match... stitching color, stitching/no stitching etc. Maybe in the lower trim levels it's the same, I'm talking Lariat.

It's very possible the dash panel can be taken apart & parts swapped, I'd be willing to try if the panel is found.

Cost savings, just like everything else that was cut.

But we received the sliding rear glass and tailgate strut.

Does anyone have the part number for the tailgate strut? My Ranger is Thailand built and it didn't come with one.

In case anyone is looking into this, the panels are expensive and different cost by trim. The usa number is N1WZ26060102B and $320 for the passenger side without the hole for the cup holder. If this is available in a LHD raptor it would likely cost the same and would be expensive to ship due to size. S1WZ26044D70AA and N1WZ26044D70YA are lower trim for driver side without the hole and are $550-675. The driver side is literally the surround for the entire digital display so not feasible unless you want to spend over a grand for dash cup holders. Too bad as I want these but that’s nuts.

Yeah, I gave up on this, I went to the Philippines and they were kind of no help at the dealerships and once I realized how big it and trying to ship. Not worth it…

If tracking down trim with cutouts is proving to be a challenge, how do we feel about cutting the holes ourselves in the existing trim pieces?

I’m all for a bit of DIY action, even if it doesn’t look perfect, as long as we can get the right measurements. Adding two extra cupholders to my Raptor would be a significant upgrade!
