Does anyone have any knowledge that placing multiple retail orders on the same vehicle with different dealers actually works? I'm well aware of some people saying "this clogs up the system" or it "keeps people from getting orders" etc...etc. To me it just seems like if your order is in, it's in, what is the benefit?

Given the relatively low number of retail orders currently in the bank.. probably not necessary.. we're not talking Maverick levels of demand at the moment.

But yes.. it does work, based on what some peeps in the Maverick subreddit have done for '22 and '23.

Agreed, especially on the low level of orders at the moment. I still fail to see how? Bigger dealers more allotments is all I can think of.

Yeah, it's just playing the allotment game... if you order from 6 dealers, odds are that at least one of your orders may get pulled earlier, based on the number of orders at that dealer vs allocations, etc..

This is all a huge assumption that retail orders will ever open up for the RRaptor. I have a suspicion that "special" vehicles might continue to be stock only based on what the BRaptor is doing.

Ford never publicly indicated that the Memorial Day allocations would be stock only until basically the banks opened. They very likely could do that again when additional allocations are given out in Q4ish.

I personally see no issues with a buyer having orders spread across multiple dealers, and then as soon as one gets selected by ford to put in production cancelling the rest. It's not your fault Ford has decided to handle it this way and implicitly encourage buyers to "play the field."

I agree on the RRaptor and retail order situation. I'm getting a simple XLT retail order. I called a few places and MOST did not even know the order banks were open, or how to properly place an order. I finally settled on a dealer that seemed to have their act together. I can see how people don't actually get their orders due to a dealer improperly inputting retail orders and the Blah Blah Blah "supply chain issues" that never seem to go away!
