My overlanding end goal for my FX4

I've been really trying to figure out what I want for an overland build. So far this is what I've come up with for a parts list.

rival front bumper: not available yet
Rock rails: T6 Extreme Rock Slider?
18" wheels with 275/70R18 tires
decked drawer system
bed rack, only level with the cab
up to a two inch lift

Make sure you get the J-Braces installed before you do anything in the bed as its required to do anything on the top of the bed. Youll need to probably think about the lift a bit more and the suspension in general. The shocks and stuff are integrated into the the car electronically, so you are gonna run into some issues with getting things to behave and such.

Are the shocks electronically integrated on the non Raptor? I thought its kind of a dumb suspension(not electronic), where the Raptor is a smart suspension.

You are correct, I didnt pay attention that you didnt have the Raptor, non raptors are just normal dumb suspension.

I ordered them, haven't heard anything more though.

They are on back order for both Canada and the US from what others have posted, so it may be some time.

I'm probably going to do a strut spacer lift(leveling kit) so I can buy the new wheels and tires. When there are aftermarket suspension options I'll replace the spacer lift. I don't want anything extreme though, not trying to build a truck for the Rubicon Trail. I do live really close to it though.

My rims came in and I'm thinking about maybe going a little bigger tire than I planned. They came with my first go fast sticker.

looks good. what offset did you decide?

Its a +40MM offset. I'm kind of wondering if I should have gone for a +35MM. I guess I won't know until everything's put together. The Raptor has a +55 but the control arms are longer. Basically I just want it to go lock to lock without rubbing the inside of the fender without too much poke.

for my lariat, i’m thinking +35 or higher. still mulling over 17 or 18 and to level or not.

I picked up my OEM all weather floor mats and installed them today.

I'm trying to figure out which tire I should get. I think I need to keep it pretty narrow to fit with my 40mm offset wheels. Anyone know anything about the new cooper stronghold AT's? These are verging on being pizza cutters.

Toyo Open Country SL tires is only a 32.6" but would sure fit and they're super light at 43 lbs. It would be a better tire for on road and towing and its a known good tire. My gearing and mpg's should be better just dont know about the ground clearance.
