Ranger 6G community,

We recently wrapped up our latest trip to the North Sand Hills dune area in CO, which has become our favorite place to drive the trucks, test our equipment, and get some incredible shots. If you have the opportunity to make a trip, it's a great time, with little traffic, letting you really push these incredible trucks to their limits if you choose to.

Here are some photos from the trip and our most recent video of the big raptor tearing it up.

Enjoy, and as always, we are here to answer any questions you have about the toppers or whatever else we can help with Ranger-related.

Cheers,

Looks fun! I do miss my days out in Glamis.
If you can swing a dune trip, we definitely recommend it. We ran the tires at around 22 psi and had no issues with traction or debeading on some big jumps and high-speed drifts.

I went down to 12 psi rears at Silver lake and used all 455 hp / 536 lb-ft regularly, the only issue I had was rears needed rebalanced, so may try 18 psi next time.

Going fast in the sand is soooo much fun! My favorite was the steepest slopes of test Hill and just flooring it up the side of the hill, clawing its way up while the Jeeps on 35s and Tacos didnt have the power and kept failing to get up more than 2/3 of slopes.

We would just rocket by them lol. Other fav. was the drag strip through huge puddles at 60 mph. Left all the windows down and the kids would get spray with water and loved it (was like theme park ride for them).

Sand and dirt roads are Raptor territory!

Sand is my favorite terrain to take the Raptors. It’s one of the only locations here in CO where you can truly use 100% of the power the Ranger has off-road.

On the tire pressure piece. Heat is the enemy, and going lower than 20 psi can create a ton of heat when you’re hauling ass in the sand.

Here is an article from BFG. https://www.bfgoodrich.com.au/auto/help-and-advice/faq-tyre-pressures
They don't recommend going over 15mph when aired down below 20psi. Hope this is helpful!

I hit 66 mph with 14 psi front and 12 psi rear lol. Its a bit squishy for sure, but the bead grips held. 15 to 18 probably would have been fine and handled better, my only big gripe was just needing to rebalance the rear KO3s after running 12 psi. I wonder what BFG would say to my quadroupling their aired down speed recomendation....

They would probably not recommend it!😂

We had our truck over 80mph several times and didn't have any issues after a few hard days of driving. We had the F150 at around 25psi and that worked great as well.
