I’m new here and need help understanding some of this stuff. I understand the delays from the strike. My questions are what’s going on post strike. Order was confirmed 6/25/23. I have a VIN and I can pull up the sticker. Build date changed a bunch and at one point Ford cut my access to the link. Dealer said it was started on 1/8/24. And is now built. Ford sends me the letter that it’s not done and will update in 45 days. Spoke with dealer and it’s now as of yesterday (2/9) on hold with no reason why. Dealer actually showed me on their report that it shows it’s built, but what Ford sent me directly it’s still not built. Which is correct? And if it’s built why would they be holding it? Is Ford no longer in the business of making money? I just need help understanding what is going on. Why 2 totally different updates on the same vehicle?

The email you got from Ford is generic. Your truck like mine is built but Ford isn't releasing them yet because of quality control issues and possibly because of a media event in March. Once Ford is happy with everything, they will give the OKTB (OK to buy) and it will be shipped to the dealer.

Rumor is they won't ship till near end of March but that's just a rumor.

I can side with this path on releasing the trucks.. as for your emails… then yes those are automated emails you will get even though it has been built.. hell if you have your VIN. Then get the ford app and put it in and you should start getting a GPS location on it if it’s built and has power to its systems.

Not quite that easy.
You need the Truck to activate a lot of the features.
As has been stated by others. Hit activate on app and except activation on center screen in truck.
Until then no GPS location and other features.
