Like a dummy, I went to change my air filter without looking for wires to unplug first, and in doing so, I broke the purple wire on the temperature sensor wiring that attaches to the air intake. Any advice on what to do? Not sure of where to even look for a replacement plug. I thought maybe i could get a plug that I could splice onto the existing wiring, if the new plug has pigtails attached to it already. Thanks in advance.

Looks like maybe its a "Motorcraft 2 Terminal Multi-Purpose Connector - WPT322". From what I can see online, it looks like they come with pigtails. Should be a relatively easy cut/solder job.

You can fix that pretty easy peasey. Look for video how to remove the Yellow pin keeper, they just have little tabs to release it. Then you can safely remove the terminal, solder it back on and roll on down the road! :like:

Found a $10 replacement plug on Amazon. For what it's worth, AutoZone and O'Reilley wanted upwards of $60 for the connector! Sheesh! Soldered the one from Amazon to the existing wires, disconnected the battery for ~30 min, and now everything's good. I do need to learn to de-pin connectors like you mentioned, @MasterCylinder, but not this time. Thanks.
