Yes, and that 130 MPH speedo is crazy. What kind of idiot at Ford wanted that. That's one of my "pet peeves", I really like the gauges on the XL/XLT models too.

Well, I remember bragging to the neighborhood kids that my Dad's brand new '65 Mustang could do 120, then proudly show them the speedo in the car to prove it!Yes, and that 130 MPH speedo is crazy. What kind of idiot at Ford wanted that.
I would not want to be in a 65 Mustang that is doing 120 MPH, no thanks. At least not one that is more or less stock like mine. Scary.Well, I remember bragging to the neighborhood kids that my Dad's brand new '65 Mustang could do 120, then proudly show them the speedo in the car to prove it!

Too funny. Guess I was never in a GM as a kid...or didn't pay any attention. Of course, if it was more "luxury-level", that would also explain it.That, my friend was cutting edge automotive electronics according to GM, circa 1979.
In as little as 10 years (or less) from now, people will be laughing at Sync3...

Made a run to the Seattle Boat Show yesterday from Bremerton. The gas mileage and fun factor of driving the Ranger still is strong after 5 months. Those old speedo's increased the indicated speed the faster they went. Calibrated speedos that were in police cars were just the gauges that were closer to perfect.
And it's a six! (the four lug wheels gave it away...)I would not want to be in a 65 Mustang that is doing 120 MPH, no thanks. At least not one that is more or less stock like mine. Scary.
