OEM Tonneau Cover - Weather stripping wont stay on

My 25 Ranger Lariat came with the factory installed tonneau cover. Since the day it was delivered the black rubber weather stripping along the front keeps popping of every time I close the liftgate. I tried 3m auto tape and Gorilla Tape. It just doesn't stay attached to the tonneau cover and creates a gap between the tonneau cover and the lift gate when closed. Anyone else experiencing this?

Clean it real good with a alcohol wipe than try some 3m promotor with the 3m tape. If that doesn't work maybe scuff it up a bit with some fine sandpaper.

Had that happen on mine,dealer moved mine slightly toward the cab and it's been fiene

I used 3m vhb double sided foam tape. To hold down a gasket for the tonneau cover and it’s on the factory spray in bed liner.
