Seriously though, help me understand. Thanks, Monty

😄 Nah, just preparing for a lockable tonneau cover. Want the bed dry and free of water or moisture.

I have a drop-in modular bed liner, there’s also a rather sizable gap around the tailgate, that permits water infiltration under and over the liner. There’s a thread dedicated to it here as well.

https://www.ranger6g.com/forum/threads/1-4-gap-around-the-whole-tailgate-of-ranger-raptor.10112/

If I’m going to store anything in bed for traveling, I want it dry and useable. Thanks for asking. 👍🇺🇸

Always seal your tailgate against dust if you put on a bedcover. Nothing worse that having everything covered in dust the consistency of flour. Caliche roads in New Mexico are horrible for dust.

I went to a lot of trouble to seal up my bed. One reason, DUST! I’m not as concerned about a little water it’s the dust on my gear that I don’t want.

Yes Sir, that’s right. We’ve got allot of double track roads thru the mountains and I’ve got a 17 mile washboard dirt road to the range.

Dust is bad! Add rain and it’s worse. especially for blackpowder rifles, primers and powder along with accessories.

Got to protect those firearms. This solves the issue.👍🇺🇸

Just finished installing that kit in my ‘24. Simple, use the adhesion promoter. I have some Velcro on the bottom edge of my tailgate so I cut the seal around them, I dont need perfection but wanted to do my best to seal it up. The Velcro is for a Bedrug XL, love those things. They also help keep the water out a bit.

The main reason we developed our kit here in Aus is to keep out the dust. I'm very interested to see how the Keko kit holds up and how effective it is longer term so if the OP could post an update after six months or so that would be great.

We designed our seal kit for the rigours of the Aussie outback where these utes are treated pretty roughly so we used mechanical attachments for all the seals that can come into contact with gear being dragged in and out of the tub. Unfortunately, this makes them quite a bit more expensive than the Keko option. We do have a few kits running around in the US and Canada - if anyone is interested https://digitaltwin-developments.com/

Received the Keko Kit yesterday. Will most likely install this weekend. Looks like a straightforward install. Post more after install.👍🇺🇸

Installed today, was a 1/2 hour job. It’s not the best kit I’ve seen but will do the job nicely. I modified one part of the install with the metal plates.

Instruction from Keko show the plate to be installed over the black plastic cover on both side. I mounted it underneath the black plastic covers on either side.👍🇺🇸

I have already removed and returned this kit. I very poorly addresses the top of the tailgate, even used adhesion promoter, some of the foam had already started to let go. I see what they were trying to do, but they did it poorly.

Mine is stuck like glue and would need a releasing agent to remove.

However, you don’t ship to the US, only Australia correct? Your store only has Australia as checkout.👍🇺🇸

Actually we do ship to the US but we haven't got our web shop set up properly to make it an option (it needs to remove the local tax and quote the correct shipping - we're working on getting it fixed). We have shipped a few kits to the US and Canada so there are a couple running about.

If you'd like to order one then please email us at [email protected] and we will sort it out for you.

Are you going to offer PayPal as an option for payment?👍🇺🇸
