OTA updates - requires Wifi?

Will my new Ranger receive them through the modem even if I do not have WIFI enabled? (I realize I have to enable automatic updates or give permission). Would it be better to receive the updates over WIFI?

It will get them. I don't have WIFI in mine either and I get them.
