See story above!

After pumping stopped I checked the meter and it said 17 gallons and some change.. waited 30 seconds and gave it one more push of the lever and got it up to 18.2 Gallons I guess I had .4 left??
I thought when the warning came up showing 0 miles to empty the engine was going to shut off but i think i just got very lucky. LOL
THAT’S CRAZY!!! Now I’m beginning to think my new baby is lying to me 🫢 don’t know whether to believe it or try pushing it further. Definitely will wait for warmer weather and have a big can of gas in the bed.

Side note: I actually donā€˜t like the way the XL displays the gas gauge. It’s too easy to overlook. The bottom 1/4 should be red, like on a traditional gauge. Instead it’s just a stack of white bars. Bad design.
the fuel ⛽ icon goes from white to orange. and the only thing red in all my previous fords has been the last bar is red. on my 08 ranger. my 12 escape, my uncle's 15 f150.

Looking at my fueling I’ve put in 16.2 gallons. I don’t think I’ve been below 50 miles left so that seems about right for 2.5 gallons left averaging around 20 mpg for my mostly city driving

Anytime I’ve gone on trips where i know there are some long stretches without fuel I’ve always planned my route in advance.
