I have a soft tonneau cover at the moment. I wanted to make sure I needed one before spending a lot more on a folding cover.

Hitch mount racks are great. Make sure you get a 2 inch reciever specific rack. Adapters for smaller add play and extend quite a bit from the truck.

I was almost thinking about doing that with the rack I already own. It's a bummer it's only a 1.25".

I have an old 1.25" rack at the moment. I am using a combination of these to make it work.
