Anyone know a good cab grommet location / route to take a CB antenna cable with a PL-259 (18 mm dia) connector? No drilling and don’t want to destroy a grommet (leaks). Just need to get this signal outside the ole HF faraday cage.

Yes, I have a GMRS too (HT, superhet, good antenna) works fine of course (UHF).

There’s one I used on the upper left when looking at the brake pedal from inside. Easy to find from engine too. I did an ‘x’ in it with a razor and passed cable thru.

On each side of the cabin, behind the back seat there are two spaces for the cabin louvre/vent. One side (driver) has the louvre and the other (passenger) has what appears to be a block off plate. My US model has the louvre on the left. I believe on AUS model it’s on the right side because wind spins backwards down there or whatever.

Anyway, it’s hilariously tight between the cab and bed to confirm. It looks like you could run whatever you want out that panel as long as it made the turn and didn’t rub during body flex, not to mention if your drill bit jumped and poked a hole in the bed bulkhead because you didn’t back it up with a piece of wood.

So has anyone drilled the black plastic block off plate to get access between cabin and bed/box?
