Am I right to assume that we get that automated email from Ford confirming the order regardless of the dealer having an allocation? I placed my order on 5/27 and my dealer said they for sure didn't have any more allocations, but I still got the confirmation the next day

Yes, you will get an email every 45 days regardless. I am getting two as I have two RR orders in with two dealers. One is in 'Production' and the other will never get fulfilled but still get the email until I cancel the order. Not cancelling until a truck is sitting in my driveway.

How long does it take to get your VIN after you order through the dealer? I got the order number but waiting on the VIN.

For my order, I was sent my VIN from Ford when the build was scheduled. Ordered on 3/25, and 4/11 I received an email with the scheduled week it would go into production and VIN assigned. I believe it's possible your dealer could receive this a bit faster and notify you of it. My dealer took a few weeks to provide the info Ford had sent me direct via email.

How long does it take to get your VIN after you order through the dealer? I got the order number but waiting on the VIN.

I've had an order number since December and I'm still waiting on a VIN.

I need some advice.

I’ve been looking through the forum and have found a lot of information and education on the ordering process, but can’t seem to find what the average wait time seems to be when ordering.

I’ve promised my wife that I’d wait to get a new truck until after my daughter’s wedding in June of 2025, but I’d prefer to actually get a truck soon after, rather than wait for an extended period of time. I’d also prefer to keep my promise to my wife and not be paying for a truck before the final check for that wedding has been written.

Does anyone have advice on when I should order the truck to get delivery in late summer?

So they are now "up to speed" with manufacturing Rangers, about 15k a quarter. 25 ordering hasn't been announced yet, and they wont start building those till January. They may also do a split build again where some feature or version comes in the second half of the year. Given that supply is normalized for the Ranger and RR, you are better off just finding one on a lot by the time you need to order unless something very specific comes out. If you do want to order, average lead team is 2-3 months currently for RRs

It's two boxes below the MSRP, there'll be some letters/numbers, then a space, last 6 digits is the build date.
