Ranger Raptor Assault School for new owners is a MUST -- Video footage

For those of you who went, how long is the actual driving day? According to the assault site it looks like it starts in the morning 8am, with a quick class, then driving ends at 4:00pm?* hour day? Do you really get that much seat time? How often are you swapping with the other driver in your truck?

Looking like I might try to go for the last event in April or the first one in May..

You will split driving time with other person in the truck. After a short class, it’s about 25 minute drive out to the BLM trails and tracks they have set up.

There is a short lunch break and a few brief bio breaks. There is some waiting in line for various exercises, but the majority of the day someone is driving. Spring the extra bucks for the video.

if you have a friend that can swing the cost, it’s a great shared experience. Awesome instructors too!

How was the dinner portion? I feel like I thought it was not worth the effort when I did it back in 2018, but not exactly sure.

For a first timer, best part was seeing the race trucks up close and the Ranger Raptor with the body off.

Chance to meet the other drivers and some of the staff. Ours was a Sunday evening, so not all of the instructors were there, as best I could tell.

Meal was better than expected.

Also a chance to fill out any paperwork, look at merch…

I was just looking at the FAQ on the Ranger Raptor Assault page and just to make sure before I lock anything in, If you bring a NON-driving guest it's really just for the Dinner the night before? They don't get to ride along on the Driving Day? Is that correct?

For the people that have already attended... how do you get from the hotel to the driving school? Do they have a shuttle or do you need to get an Uber or Taxi? Also, did you stay at the suggested Holiday Inn or has anyone used an alternative? TIA

Last October they were recommending the Comfort Inn. There was not a shuttle. I had a rental car from airport to Toelle. It was maybe 10-15 to the school.

Just finished the school yesterday. Only one word to express the whole program. WOW!!
Facility, staff, but most of all this extraordinary vehicle. No need to upgrade, the truck is good to go out of the box. A no brainer. Go and enjoy!
