Thanks mate, did see these, but with 2 adults and a Tentbox it takes it over the 150kg weight limit annoyingly.

That is a DYNAMIC load rating (while driving), the static load limit while camping is unspecified, but way, way higher. Unless you plan on driving around with the tent deployed and people inside….

What is the weight of the tent you plan to use?

If you can find a local distributor (Amazon?) I went with Go Rhino XRS 5935015T.. about 7" height above the tonneau which kept my tent closer to cab height. T-slot model (or standard as an option). Rated 600# static or 300# dynamic. 1/4-20 bolt heads slip into the crossbars on all 4 sides to mount accessories - tent mount bolts around.

Stock hardware is a metal bar with 3 tapped holes so they require T-slots with removable end caps, but I found unistrut nuts fit perfect in (my) slots

Yup, that's your hard brake and swerve around wildlife, or hitting a big pothole at 50 shock loading.

Much more force from that than once you are parked and.. exercising the suspension with your partner

Used to run that tent on the copper Mitsu in the background.. the pano sunroof capped us at 110 lbs
